Meet Dr. Hannah Cabre, the 2022 doctoral research grant recipient studying the effects of hormonal contraception on protein turnover, maximal strength, and muscle quality across the hormone cycle. She's a postdoctoral researcher at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, focusing on female sex hormones' impact on exercise and nutrition outcomes throughout life. Dr. Cabre has 33 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 14 first-author research abstracts and poster presentations at regional and national conferences. Her current projects include studying weight maintenance in obese pregnant individuals.
